Hello,
Your Mocha skin really rocks! I'll most likely use it for my Forum. Do you have, or plan to have, a GDK available for users? My Forum must be localized to French. Thanks! |

Hi Philo! Thanks for the kind words regarding the Mocha skin. I think we can have something made for the French language if you decide to use Mocha for your forum. Let me know when you've decided one way or another.

Hi!
Actually, the capacity for me to localize the skin (as well as modify the buttons to 'brand' them) is a big factor in my deciding whether or not I want to use this skin... Is it possible? I realize skinning works differently on IPB 2.x than on 1.3... I haven't gotten IPB 2.x running yet, so I don't know if it's more complicated. I assumed getting a GDK would do the trick... Is this a possibility? |

I have to be honest, I've never worked with a GDK. While I intend to look into it, I think for the time being it would be easiest for me to just make the buttons manually? What exactlly can a GDK do for me? I read up about it a bit, but have not yet established a "list of benefits"...

Thank you to all whom have downloaded Mocha! Mocha reached 100 downloads between our site and ipsbeyond.com! Some of the downloads are likely upgrades from earlier versions, but that in my mind does not make the achievement any less.

A GDK doesn't do much for YOU, but it gives users the blank graphic elements to customize the skin further. Usually a PSD of the blank graphics and some sort of README with font information and such will do at a basic level.

Yeah, just like DigitalLink says.
I see it for a lot of skins... And it allows me to localize the language on the skin directly, so it's really hassle-free... |

Oh yes, I downloaded the IPB GDK a long time ago...
Since I have designed Mocha using GIMP, there isn't really a GDK that I could publish (on top of that, in my GIMP file not everything is as it should be for a GDK). I will make and publish a French version of Mocha by the end of the week. -------------------- "Someday you will die somehow and | Somethings gonna steal your carbon.

I think I'm okay on that part... I may post a list of phrases I plan on using if I have any doubt as to the wording. Otherwise, I should be good. Thank you.

No one mentioned the google adverts hidden in the skin...
http://resourcemasters.com/forums/index.ph...t=0entry28655 I'll leave them there a bit then remove them, might even remove your copyright, after all you haven't played fair with me, why should I play fair with you!!! |
